Our FinTech client is seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Lead to join their team on-site in Manhattan!

They're a big Financial company who offers a broad array of services and financial products to consumers, small businesses and commercial clients in the U.S., UK, and Canada.

It is a great company to work for as they give a start-up feel in a big company environment. So what does an ADL do? Well, while Scrum Masters typically focus on upholding the values of Scrum, facilitating meetings and discussions, and removing blockers, you could say that the ADL does all this, while also focusing on a teams' delivery. Engineers have a lot on their plate, so ADLs set out to keep them focused on writing software by helping to handle ancillary technical tasks beyond coding. This can involve anything from onboarding applications to various tools used for well-managed software delivery, taking the lead on application architecture review processes, preparing various documentation, and even seeking out new opportunities regarding production support.

At the end of the day, the ADL's primary focus is on helping to create an environment where the engineering teams can deliver high quality, valuable software.

In this role, you will carry below responsibilities:

Delivery

  • Ensures team(s) maintain focus on quality and continuous delivery
  • Provides visibility into delivery targets, commitments, and progress
  • Be well managed - understand and coach the team on delivery controls/compliance to minimize operational/reputation risk
  • Understands and supports the product and technical strategies
  • Understands/stays current on domain architecture and targets to identify upstream/downstream dependencies and to support the team in risk management
  • Proactively identifies impediments and appropriately resolves using a network of peers and formal channels (including escalation if required)
  • Supports the team's automation (testing, pipelines, deployments)/DevOps journey

Coaching

  • Integrates Agile & Lean principles into team practices and work products
  • Coaches PO/team on backlog refinement and prioritization
  • Utilizes team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and works with team to continuously improve
  • Innovates with practices and frameworks through experimentation to improve the team and their delivery
  • Understands and encourages team's engineering innovation and improvement (XP engineering practices, Dev Ops, etc.)
  • Coaches the team to improve collaboration and self-organization
  • Acts as an Agile mentor/coach to other Scrum Masters or any Agile role
  • Agile & Technical Learning: Actively seeks and participates in a variety of learning opportunities such as Communities of Practice, conferences, classroom training and independent study to further develop self and community

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4 Years of Agile experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scrum Alliance CSM or CSP certification or PMI's Agile Certified Professional (ACP)
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
  • SAFe certified or experience (or other scaled agile frameworks)
  • Experience with Kanban
